Children in Need is set for record; CHARITY.

THE annual Children in Need appeal was set to break all records last night - hitting the pounds 15million mark by late evening.

Viewers were wowed by BBC BBC

She presents on the rolling news channel BBC News 24 on Monday-Thursday between 8:30 and 11 a.m. alongside Simon McCoy. , Sophie Raworth Sophie Raworth (pronounced /'ɹeɪ.wəθ/) (born 15 May 1968) in Redhill, and also known as Sophie Winter is a newsreader on BBC Television in the UK.  and Fiona Bruce's impression of a Beyonce dance and the stars of the One Show's rendition of Fame - pledging cash in their tens of thousands.

Speaking about the newreaders' performance Kate Silverton said: "It was so out of our comfort zone, but worth it."

Organisers of the show, hosted by Terry Wogan, were hoping to surpass l a s t y ear's total of pounds 21million on the night.

The 2008 appeal eventually went on to raise pounds 38million.
