A police officer yesterday described how he found two children, allegedly abducted at knifepoint knife·point

Detective Sergeant Andy Greenwood kicked down the front door of a terraced house where Salina Salina (səlī`nə), city (1990 pop. 42,303), seat of Saline co., central Kans., on the Smoky Hill River; founded 1858 by settlers opposed to slavery, inc. 1870.  and Sarah Hafeez were allegedly being held by their natural mother Shanaz Hafeez.

She was arrested with two other people at the house in Acton Street, Middlesbrough - just a mile from where the two children had been snatched 36 hours previously.

Police said four other adults had also been arrested on suspicion of the abduction of Salina, five, and three-year-old Sarah.

Det Sgt Greenwood said: "We went straight upstairs into one of the bedrooms where I found Salina and Sarah asleep.

"They did not wake up until their foster mother arrived.

"When they woke up and realised the enormity e·nor·mi·ty

Det Supt Tony Hutchinson Tony Hutchinson is a fictional character in the long-running British Channel 4 television soap opera Hollyoaks.

He is played by actor Nick Pickard and is the only original character still on the show.
, the officer who led the inquiry, said: "The girls were reunited with their foster mother and were overjoyed to see her.

"They went back to what has been their home for the past 15 months and spent the remainder of the night being watched over by a police officer."

Seven people had been arrested, including the natural mother.

All were arrested on suspicion of abduction of the two girls.

The children had been taken from Cornfield Road on Wednesday by a woman and two men.

* Late last night police said a 30-year-old woman was charged with kidnapping.
