Children charged with rape.
They are among almost 3,000 primary school children accused of offences in the last 12 months.
It is the first time the figures, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, have been disclosed in full by all eight of Scotland's police forces.
The statistics show children as young as eight have been accused of crimes including rape, robbery, assault and fraud.
Among them was a nine-year-old boy accused of raping a three-year-old.
Peter Wilson, of the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland, said action was needed to deal with children who were "out of control".
He added: "More and more kids are getting involved in serious crimes."
