, in Farmhouse Way, collected a variety of items, from toothbrushes to crayons, which were packed into shoeboxes and gift-wrapped to be sent to youngsters overseas.

"The children have filled about 350 boxes which will be sent to children in Bosnia, Croatia and elsewhere," said deputy headteacher Lesley Mellor. "The children have really enjoyed doing it and some of them have written letters and included photos in the boxes as well."
