Children's World Enters New Jersey With Construction of Four Child Care Centers.

Children's World Learning Centers, the nation's second-largest provider of early childhood care and education, has entered the New Jersey market with the construction of four new child care centers. The company has opened child care centers in Jackson and Freehold, and currently is constructing centers in Medford and Robbinsville, which will open in the spring.

Children's World, a division of ARAMARK Educational Resources based in Golden, Colorado, operates nearly 600 child care centers in 24 states. The company celebrates its 30th birthday this year, and currently has more nationally accredited centers than any other private child care provider.

The New Jersey centers are 8,900 square feet and accommodate approximately 155 children ranging in age from infants through 12-year-olds. The centers offer Children's World's developmentally appropriate curricula that encourage social, cognitive and physical development, while allowing children to learn at their own pace. A private kindergarten program also is offered. These unique child care centers utilize video cameras in their classrooms to allow parents to observe their children's interactions and activities from a central monitor. They also have security keypads on their front doors, and developmentally appropriate playground equipment.

To accommodate working families, the centers open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. They offer a before- and after-school program for school-age children, and transportation is provided to and from the area elementary schools. They also serve breakfast, hot lunch and snacks.
