Child porn 'fantasist' sent to jail; COURT.

A FANTASIST who admitted having thousands of images of child pornography was jailed yesterday for 18 months.

He was also banned from the internet, owning a computer, working with children and was put on the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years.

Judge David Smyth QC told 35-year-old hotel porter Christopher Duncan Gerard O'Neill, of Gortmaddy Drive home in Ballycastle, Co Antrim, that few cases provoked public revulsion and outrage like those involving child pornography.

However, the Antrim Crown Court judge said O'Neill was entitled to a reduction in his sentence for a number of reasons including his blameless past.
