Chidambaram says Pakistan faces danger of becoming 'failed state'.Byline: ANI New Delhi/Mumbai, Mar. 7 (ANI): In separate instances, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Pranab Kumar Mukherjee (Bengali: প্রণব কুমার মুখার্জী have said that Pakistan faced the threat of becoming a "failed state." "It (Pakistan) is not a failed state, but it is threatening to become one. A great concern is weighing on our minds. In Pakistan, with regret, I would say we don't know who is in control there. Whether it is the Army or the President or the Government... We are in a difficult situation but we are a vibrant democracy," Chidambaram said at a seminar in Mumbai. Noting that a large part of Pakistan is being controlled by the Taliban, he said the 'fire' has already spilled over to India in the form of extremist organizations like the Indian Mujahideen. Chidambaram also reminded Pakistan that it had to dismantle the terror infrastructure.
