Chicago to hire ex-offenders.

American politician who dominated Chicago politics during his years as mayor (1955-1976). Known as one of the last old-time big city bosses, Daley was also an important figure in the national Democratic Party.

Daley started to address the large ex-offender population last year with a task force that researched the issues confronted by the 20,000 ex-offenders returning to Chicago each year.
