Jimmy Osmond is the youngest of his siblings and an occasional member of their musical group, The Osmonds.
 has been unveiled as the male lead in Chicago, the musical which blows in to the Empire in April.

Former pin-up Jimmy, youngest member of The Osmonds, is to take on the role of scurrilous lawyer Billy Flynn in the multi award winning musical.

He'll team up with East Enders actress Emma Barton Emma Jane Barton (born February 29 1976 in Portsmouth, England) is an English actress. She has played Honey Mitchell in EastEnders since November 2005.

Before her role in EastEnders, Emma appeared in Spooks
, who will star alongside him as Roxie Hart.

Jimmy comes to the role fresh from his part of Teen Angel in Grease in the West End, cut short by a fortnight for his tour with Chicago.

He shot to fame as the youngest person ever to top the singles charts - branded as "Little Jimmy Osmond" - with his 1972 hit, Long Haired Lover From Liverpool.

As a solo artist, Jimmy has accumulated six gold records, one platinum record, and two gold albums.

CHICAGO runs from April 6-11, 2009, showing at 7.30pm, Fri & Sat 5pm, 8.30pm.
