Chicago Growth Partners LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  ("CGP"), a Chicago-based private equity firm that focuses on lower middle market growth companies, today announced the third investment of CGP VIII. CGP, whose partners manage a $1-billion private equity portfolio, has invested $30 million in Time Plus, Inc. of Atlanta, GA, an emerging provider of payroll, tax filing and benefits management services to small and mid-sized companies in a wide variety of industries. CGP VIII's first two investments, also announced recently, were in eInstruction Corporation and Genoptix, Inc. The Private Equity Group of Goldman Sachs The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., or simply Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is one of the world's largest global investment banks. Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869, and is headquartered in the Lower Manhattan area of New York City at 85 Broad Street.  Asset Management and the Time Plus management team are also investors in the deal.
