Topics will include the new Illinois Adoption Registry and Medical Information Exchange, foster parenting, detailed descriptions of the various types of adoption, how to talk to a child about adoption, Jewish adoption issues, legal aspects of adoption, medical and developmental issues, and much more. The highlight of the two-day event will be a session presented by Jana Wolff, author of "Secret Thoughts of an Adoptive Mother."
