It was a large Victorian Villa which is classically typical of this area: So from the outside it looked like many of the B and B's we've come across before ? This was not our first visit. But inside we found something else entirely: But then, that's what a 'real' Boutique Hotel should be like ? Unique and surprising!

Keeping Busy

Llandudno is one of the largest seaside resorts in Wales and has a long history. When we look for Hotels in Llandudno primarily we are looking for a comfortable base from which to explore the area. Some of the Hotels in Llandudno are made for those who just want a place to sleep for the night: And sure, that works sometimes! However, we generally like to spend the evening at our Hotel: So a relaxing and comfortable lounge bar and restaurant are important to us. This is because we do not want the hassle of trolling around after a busy day's sightseeing. Therefore, we need something a little more than a bed and breakfast...in the literal sense of the word.

We have found that Boutique Hotels tend to be more on a par with our needs. Generally they have one of the best bars in town, a quality restaurant and friendly staff - As ours most certainly did. There is a lot to see and do around and about Llandudno. The Golf is particularly good and if you are a nature lover then do not miss out on a trip to the summit of the Great Orme - The views here alone are enough to make the trip worthwhile. There is also a Toboggan Run and Dry Ski Slopes at the top of the Great Orme, if you are feeling adventurous! For some traditional and classic seaside entertainment take a walk along Llandudno's award winning Victorian Pier. There is quite a mix of old and new here: From classic cream tea houses to children's fun fair rides and arcades.

Those Little Extras..

If you are looking for quiet as well as chic Boutique Hotels in Llandudno then you should probably stay away from the North Shore promenade. Most of the hotels here are fairly mainstream and this area is busy. We loved the Asian theme of our hotel; the ambience was relaxing and it made a change from the norm. In addition, the restaurant served home cooked Asian and Indian food which we absolutely adore - Apparently this is the only restaurant of its kind in the region so we got extra lucky in our books. In fact, when it comes to those little extra bonuses (which can make a BIG difference) we find Boutique Hotels win hands down.

Of all the Hotels and Bed and Breakfast establishments we have visited over the years we found our Boutique Hotel in Llandudno was among the best we have tried: Which was just as surprising for us as it probably will be for you - That is, if you give it a try: And on that note, we would definitely say yes, go on!
