Chiaro Networks' Secures $18 Million in Second Round of Financing, Bringing Total Funding to $28 Million.

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2000

Chiaro Networks announced today that is has completed its second round of financing for $18 million. Led by the New York-based venture capital firm, Rho Management, this latest round of financing brings the total funding to $28M.

Chiaro is focused on the design and manufacture of innovative data switching solutions to remove the most challenging bottlenecks from carriers' optical backbones. This completely new class of product promises to allow carriers to deploy reliable data switching solutions with unprecedented scalability.
