To combat bad breath, Wrigley is developing a new type of chewing gum that will contain zinc and copper--elements found naturally in some foods. These metals bond with the sulfur chemicals in your mouth, forming new compounds that don't smell.

Past attempts at adding zinc and copper to gum have resulted in unpleasant metallic-tasting treats. Wrigley claims that its new gum recipe will pack enough flavor to pass the taste test.
