Chester chairman confident over clearing debt issues.

Byline: NEIL TURNER Neil Turner (born September 16, 1945, Carlisle) is a Labour Party Politician in the United Kingdom. He has been the member of Parliament for Wigan in the north-west of England since a 1999 by-election.

SPEAKING for the first time since the club were given an extension to pay off their football creditors Chester City's chairman Ian Anderson Anderson, river, Canada

has stated that he is confident that the Conference side will resolve all of their outstanding issues.

He said: "There is an undertaking from me as a solicitor solicitor, in English law, person duly admitted to practice before the supreme court of judicature. He is the agent of the person whose suit he handles, and is distinguished from a barrister, who argues cases before the judge (see attorney).  to the Conference which will be resolved on November 16, and the slate will be wiped clean.

"Things haven't changed from a couple of weeks ago, where Chester City Chester City or City of Chester may mean: Places
  • Chester, which is the city in Cheshire, England
Organisations
  • Chester City F.C., which is the football (soccer) club in England.
Football club is owed more money than it currently owes. Hopefully on November 16 that situation will be addressed.

"Everyone will hopefully be in a position then to have all the facts in front of them."

Anderson also stated that Chester City is for sale as long as the shareholders receive an acceptable offer, and the purchaser has enough funds available to run the club.

He added: "If someone wants to come in and make us a sensible offer, and we have heard that people want to buy the club, but like everything else you've got to show us you've got the money. If anyone wants to buy Chester City Football Club, contact me, show me you have the money, make me a sensible offer, and we will do the deal."

The current problems with the Conference mean that Chester have had a transfer embargo embargo (ĕmbär`gō), prohibition by a country of the departure of ships or certain types of goods from its ports. Instances of confining all domestic ships to port are rare, and the Embargo Act of 1807 is the sole example of this in  placed upon them and until all the football creditors are satisfied it is unlikely that this embargo will be lifted.
