He is the founder of the FLUX Quartet, who are widely recognized for their performances of technically challenging cutting-edge compositions, including Morton , Wonjung Kim, and Jeffrey Khaner Jeffrey Khaner is the principal flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has also served as principal flutist with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony. Mr. Khaner teaches at the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. . Musically, they really do work well, and David Chesky is obviously a talented and imaginative composer. Indeed, I think that the material will also satisfy those who generally favor traditional musical forms. Technically, the recording is top notch, as are the solo-music and ensemble performances. Yes, as usual there is no discrete center channel, even with the solo-vocal material, but the phantom image holds up well. Indeed, from the sweet spot the focus was so tight that I repeatedly got up to check and see if the center-channel speaker was really silent. It was. One interesting thing about this release is the price, which, according to according to prep. 1. As stated or indicated by; on the authority of: according to historians. 2.
