Cheshire woman dies in collision.


Byline: The Register-Guard

A Cheshire woman was killed Monday when her 1985 Lincoln pulled into the path of a fully loaded log truck on Territorial Highway near Fern Ridge Lake, police said.

The car, driven by Marion Louise Graham, 79, was struck by the southbound log truck after she turned left onto Territorial Highway from Clear Lake Road.

Graham was wearing a seat belt at the time of the 12:30 p.m. crash.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, Oregon State Police said.

The driver of the Kenworth truck, Dan Winney, 57, of Alsea, was not injured. No logs spilled from the trailer, police said.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.

The southbound lane of Territorial Highway was closed until about 3:15 p.m.
