Cheshire firm's pounds 14m MoD deal.


CHESHIRE-BASED Marine Systems Technology has won a pounds 14m slice of contracts handed out by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for equipment on two new aircraft carriers.

The MoD has announced the awarding of pounds 52m of contracts for the two Queen Elizabeth Class Queen Elizabeth class may refer to
  • Queen Elizabeth class battleship - of the early 20th century
  • Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier (1960s) - planned design of the 1960s
  • Queen Elizabeth
 vessels. MST See micro systems technology.  will produce water-tight fire doors for the ships in a deal that will guarantee at least three years of production at two sites in Cheshire.

The carriers will carry out a range of operations from highintensity fighting to humanitarian relief.
