:AWGI) today announced the appointment of Cheryl R. Cooper to the Company's Board of Directors, effective June 24, 2005.

Ms. Cooper serves as Executive Director of the National Council of Negro Women The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) was founded in 1935 by Mary McLeod Bethune, child of slave parents, distinguished educator and government consultant. Mary McLeod Bethune saw the need for harnessing the power and extending the leadership of African American women through  (NCNW NCNW National Council of Negro Women, Inc. ). Prior to joining NCNW, Ms. Cooper served as Chief of Staff for AARP AARP, a nonprofit, nonpartisan national organization dedicated to "enriching the experience of aging"; membership is open to people age 50 or older. Founded in 1958 by Ethel Percy Andrus as American Association of Retired Persons, AARP now has over 30 million  where she was directly responsible for the organization's Office of Strategic Planning, Board Support and Executive Staff Office. During her 12 years with AARP she also served as Director of Audit and Advisory Services. Prior to joining AARP, Ms. Cooper served as the administrator of the Congressional Black Caucus Congressional Black Caucus, organization of African-American members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Founded in 1970, it addresses legislative concerns of African Americans and other minority citizens, such as employment, welfare reform, minority business  Foundation from 1986 to 1990. At various points during her 24-year career she worked for the Coastal Corporation and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Ms. Cooper graduated from Georgetown University with a B. S. in Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

An accountant who has met certain standards, including experience, age, and licensing, and passed exams in a particular state.
. In October 2004, Ms. Cooper received the Samuel Halsey award from Georgetown University, an award that is given annually to an outstanding African American Alumnus.
