Cherish the name of Wafa Sultan, follow what this lady says and does: She's a true fighter for freedom.

Cherish the name of Wafa Sultan, follow what this lady says and does: She's a true fighter for freedom. Originally from Syria, and a Sunni Muslim, she is now a psychiatrist in California, thus perfectly placed to assess both the world of Islam and the West. Appearing on al-Jazeera in 2006, she exposed and shredded the prejudices of an Islamist sheikh. Now she's done it again--and again on al-Jazeera. True, the Egyptian Islamist opposite her this time was pretty low-caliber, but millions of Arabs and Muslims will have heard her tell him that "any belief that chops off the heads of its critics is doomed to turn into terrorism and tyranny." Muslims, she went on, must learn how to listen to the criticism of others, and if they want respect they must teach their children "love, peace, coexistence, and productive work." Wafa Sultan is an individual, with nothing but intellect and courage to back her up, but it will take the likes of her to change the terms of debate about Islam and terrorism.
