HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2000

Cheniere Energy Inc. (Nasdaq:CHXCD) announced today that its trading symbol Trading symbol

 will return to CHEXC when trading opens on November November: see month.  15, 2000. The company's symbol was changed by Nasdaq to CHXCD for a 20-day period so the trading community could become aware of its October October: see month.  18, 2000 reverse stock split. Cheniere continues to operate under an exception granted by Nasdaq, which required the company to achieve a closing bid price of $1.00 per share by October 23, 2000 and to maintain such a minimum bid price for a period within the discretion of Nasdaq.
