Liquefied natural gas (LNG)

A product of natural gas which consists primarily of methane. Its properties are those of liquid methane, slightly modified by minor constituents.

It borders Jefferson County, Texas, and Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

The First Battle of Sabine Pass, and the second Battle of Sabine Pass took place at Sabine Pass during the American Civil War.
 LNG Terminal currently under construction on the Sabine Pass Ship Channel. The proposed pipeline will interconnect with as many as fifteen different interstate and intrastate pipeline systems, and terminate in the vicinity of Rayne, Louisiana.

Cheniere Energy has initiated the NEPA pre-filing process to apply to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is the United States federal agency with jurisdiction over electricity sales, wholesale electric rates, hydroelectric licensing, natural gas pricing, and oil pipeline rates.  for authorization under Section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act to construct and operate the Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline.
