Chengdu PTA Expands N.E.T. Multiservice Network Serving Capital City of China's Most Populous Province.

Chengdu PTA originally installed the digital data network (DDN (Defense Data Network) An Internet-based global communications network created by the U.S. Department of Defense. In April 1996, users were moved to the more modern Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) made up of NIPRnet (Non-classified IP Router Network) and ) in 1995. The network expansion, valued at nearly $1 million, was part of a contract awarded to Datacraft, an N.E.T. distribution partner with offices throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
