 systems at Rubber Expo, October 16 - 18 at the Cleveland Convention Center.

Adiprene[R] K One-Component Urethanes offer a host of time/cost-saving benefits:

* No weighing or mixing

* Eliminate most capital equipment for mixing and metering

* Less scrap from weighing and mixing errors

* Reduced exposure to isocyanates and amine amine (əmēn`, ăm`ēn): see under amino group.
amine

Any of a class of nitrogen-containing organic compounds derived, either in principle or in practice, from ammonia (NH3).
 curatives

* Virtually unlimited potlife, allowing very large or intricate pours

* Quick demolding times, for improved productivity in small and/or thin parts

The new Adiprene[R] K family of one-component urethane systems can provide processing advantages for applications ranging from abrasion-resistant elastomeric coatings to large, higher-hardness components. This versatility offers new levels of consistency and speed, opening up a whole new universe of possibilities for urethanes customers.

Adiprene[R] K is made possible by a unique blocked curative composed of a methylene methylene /meth·y·lene/ (meth?i-len) the bivalent hydrocarbon radical —CH2— or CH2dbond.

"Historically, MDA3-NaCl has been utilized with conventional prepolymers for thin articles and remains a valuable tool for these applications," reports Chemtura Commercial Development Manager, Chris Maupin. "However, recent developments with low free monomer prepolymers and the blocked curative provide a foundation for developing new urethane product opportunities."

Customers seeking data sheets on the Adiprene[R] K family should visit Chemtura Urethanes at Rubber Expo booth # 1106 or e-mail Christopher.Maupin@Chemtura.com. Please visit www.chemtura.com.
