Chemical firm sells headquarters.

The Staubach Company recently represented Chemetall Oakite, a specialty chemical company, in the sale of its former headquarters facility at 50 Valley Road in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, as well as the company's relocation to its new headquarters location at 675 Central Avenue in New Providence, New Jersey.

The Staubach Corporate Services team of Steven L. Fleming, senior vice president; James J. Medenbach, senior vice president; Shawn Straka, vice president; and Francisco J. Cotilla, senior vice president, of Staubach's Design & Construction Consulting Services, represented Chemetall Oakite in these transactions.

Oakite's former headquarters, located at 50 Valley Road, is a 59,200-square-foot flex facility that contains office, research and wet laboratory space. Connell Realty was the purchaser of this facility.

Oakite will relocate to 36,704 square feet in 675 Central Avenue, which is a 73,000 square foot facility, upon completion of its interior construction in late 2006.

Additionally, Staubach through its Design, Construction and Consulting Services Division (DCCS), which is managed by Frank Cotilla, is providing complete project management services at its new headquarters location.

These services include procurement of the architect and engineer, who will design the facility; the programming and conceptual layout of the office and lab spaces; the procurement of office furniture systems and lab equipment; as well as relocation/move management services.
