At the time of his death, he had been held for three days at the US base 10 miles south of Asadabad, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, on suspicion of involvement in a rocket attack on the same base. brought a drum filled with chemical solvent at Motor workshop and Auto Works situated in G-10/4 in I&T Center in order to get it open. The owners of shopkeeper, Malik Shahzad Zaheer was cutting the chemical drum via gas welding welding, process for joining separate pieces of metal in a continuous metallic bond.
