Chemical and energy industry veteran Dr. Alan Sass elected to American Vanguard Corp.'s board of directors.LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1996--American Vanguard Corp. (Nasdaq National Market:AMGD AMGD Acromesomelic Dysplasia, Grebe Type ) today announced that at its Annual Meeting of Shareholders held yesterday, Dr. Allan Sass was elected to the Company's Board of Directors. As Henry L. Scott did not stand for re-election, there remain seven directors on the Company's Board. Dr. Sass, 57, brings nearly thirty years of experience in the development, commercialization and management of new chemical and energy technologies. Presently, Dr. Sass is Vice President of Technology for Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., (a sister company of WMX WMX Window Manager for X WMX WDM Multiplexer WMX Web Services for Management Extensions WMX Windows Media File Format ), where he is responsible for developing and implementing a corporate R&D program in air and water pollution control technologies. Prior to holding this post, Dr. Sass was Wheelabrator's Vice President of New Business Development from 1992 through 1994.
