Chemed increases third-quarter dividend.


CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1995--The Board of Directors of Chemed Corporation (NYSE NYSE

:CHE) yesterday declared a quarterly cash dividend of 52 cents per share Cents per share

The amount of a mutual fund's dividend or capital gains distributions that a shareholder will receive for each share owned.
 on its capital stock, representing a 2 percent increase over the dividend of 51 cents per share paid in each of the prior seven quarters.

The dividend is payable on September 8, 1995, to stockholders of record on August 18, 1995.

This dividend is the 97th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Chemed and marks the 24th time in Chemed's 24 years as a public corporation that the annual dividend rate has increased for the company's stockholders.

Commenting on the dividend increase, Chemed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Edward L. Hutton said, ``Chemed is committed to its dividend policy which stresses long-term earnings and cash flow growth. This dividend increase reflects the Board's confidence in Chemed's solid financial position and future earnings potential.''
