Chemed completes sale of Veratex Retail.


CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1995--Chemed Corporation (NYSE NYSE

:CHE) today reported that it has completed its previously announced sale of the retail division of Chemed's Veratex Group to Henry Schein Henry Schein Inc. is a Fortune 500 company based in Melville, New York. It is a distributor of healthcare products and services primarily to office-based healthcare practitioners in the North American and European markets. The Company operates in two business segments.  Inc. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. The sale of Veratex Retail is not expected to have a material impact on Chemed's results for the year.

Chemed retains the Tidi Products Inc. manufacturing and distribution operation. Tidi Products Inc., headquartered in Troy, Mich., is a leading manufacturer of more than 800 disposable paper, cotton, and gauze gauze (gawz) a light, open-meshed fabric of muslin or similar material.
