McNamara, 48, to the additional post of Chief Executive Officer of the company. Edward L. Hutton, 82, remains active as Chairman of Chemed. In addition, the Board promoted Sandra E. Laney, 57, to an Executive Vice President and David J. Bauer, 39, to an Assistant Vice President of the company. Mr. Hutton has served Chemed as its Chief Executive Officer since its initial public offering in 1971. A director of Chemed and Omnicare Inc. Mr. Bauer joined Chemed's former DuBois Chemicals subsidiary as a staff accountant in 1985 and was promoted to Senior Accountant in 1989. He transferred to Chemed headquarters in 1990 and was promoted to Assistant Manager of Financial/Benefits Administration. He continues in that capacity.
