Cheetah Medical Inc. To Present at Medtech Insight and Windhover Information's In3 Medical Device Summit in Brussels, Belgium.

BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Cheetah Medical Inc. (www.cheetah-medical.com) has announced that it will be presenting on Tuesday at 3:05 p.m. at Medtech Insight and Windhover Information's In3 Medical Device Summit, Sept. 18-20, at The Crown Plaza Hotel, Brussels, Belgium.

The Company recently reached a significant milestone: its NICOM system for non-invasive cardiac output monitoring has been used in over 500 patients in selected centers in the U.S. and Europe, including ICU/CCU, Cath-Lab and Heart Failure Clinic.

"These studies demonstrate the Cheetah NICOM's high performance as established by concomitant comparisons with the in-hospital gold-standard, invasive Pulmonary Artery Catheter (PAC) systems for continuous cardiac output monitoring. The results have been duplicated in different inpatient clinical settings in the U.S. and France," explains Yoav Avidor, M.D., CEO, Cheetah Medical Inc. The NICOM provides a window to several other important features of cardiac function, including Contractility, Ventricular Ejection Time, Stroke Volume, Systemic Vascular Resistance and BPM.

In addition, Cheetah is targeting outpatient applications, starting with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) which is a result of insufficient cardiac output. Because obesity, long-standing hypertension and other predisposing factors for CHF are on the rise, more patients are affected by CHF every year. Indeed, CHF is a surging clinical and economic issue as evidenced by the wealth of drugs and devices reaching the market. However, besides the ICU where invasive PAC can be used, physicians still lack an accurate non-invasive monitoring modality with which to monitor treatment. Cheetah intends to build on its robust technology platform proven in challenging clinical settings to provide clinicians with a practical window to the heart in and outside the ICU.

The Cheetah NICOM is a portable system that utilizes Hemodynamic Reactance Mapping (HRM), a proprietary technology developed by Cheetah to assist in diagnosis and therapy of cardiac and other high-risk patients. Contrary to other non-invasive methods HRM does not rely on thoracic bio-impedance which Cheetah believes to be a sub-optimal measure. HRM uses innovative signal-to-noise technology in tandem with analyzing a number of signal descriptors. The NICOM gained 510k and CE Mark and is indicated to measure and display patients' cardiac output and other signals.

Cheetah Medical is privately held and based in Raanana, Israel. The company is focusing on establishing NICOM as a frontline tool to monitor cardiac function in several inpatient and outpatient areas of high unmet need. Cheetah is currently exploring partnerships with strategic players to develop a global outreach for its technology.
