) will install its radio frequency (RF) electronic article surveillance See EAS.  (EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) A security system for preventing theft in retail stores that uses disposable label tags or reusable hard tags attached to the merchandise. ) systems in 200 additional Vons supermarkets. Vons, located throughout Southern California and Nevada, currently uses Checkpoint's RF EAS systems in 40 of its stores. This installation increases the number of Vons supermarkets equipped with Checkpoint's RF EAS systems to 240.
