) announced today that it has filed a listing application ("Application") with the New York Stock Exchange New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

 No. 162825 AB 9 (the "Debentures"), which Application has been approved by the Exchange. The Debentures were originally issued October 24, 1995. Checkpoint previously registered the Debentures with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Form 8-A. Checkpoint expects the Debentures to begin trading on the Exchange on or about September 27, 2001 under the stock symbol CKP05.
