Prominent Southeastern Bank Selects Checkworks' Newest Product

as a Key Component in Its Check Image Archive Solution

CheckWorks, Inc., a Georgia-based enterprise-wide document imaging solutions company for financial institutions, today announced the availability of its Multi-function Image Import product.

A prominent Southeastern-based bank has selected the product as a key component in its check image archive solution.

Used separately or as an add-on component, Multi-function Image Import enables users to import images into a bank's Check Image Management System (CIMS) or temporary archive database. The ability to archive images into a temporary repository allows every department within a financial institution to consolidate check images and then load those images to the Viewpointe Image Archive, a highly secure national image archive. Using the Viewpointe Image Archive solution, bank customers are able to retrieve information about their checks instantaneously - reducing customer service calls and eliminating the wait for the information.

In addition to providing image import capabilities to legacy systems (such as lock box or signature verification systems), Image Import can be used to import reject repaired check images via a common image format file (CIFF) interface into one or more CIMS.

Additional functions of Multi-function Image Import include: the ability to process imports from as many as 225 applications at the same time; the ability to notify an application when an image cannot be imported; the ability to maintain a unique log file for each application or a generic log file based on setup parameters; and the ability to provide TCP/IP services that allow any application to load images into CIMS.
