CheckTech Financial Corp., a leading supplier of Check 21-compliant equipment and supplies to the banking industry, today announced a strategic alliance with BANC [French, Bench.] The location where a court customarily or permanently sits.

When a court is sitting in banc (or en banc), it means that a meeting or session of all the judges of a court is taking place.

Headquartered in Henderson, Ky., BANC:source is a national sales and service company providing equipment, hardware maintenance, software support, and other products to the financial industry.

The alliance between CheckTech Financial and BANC:source is in anticipation of implementation later this year of the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act, or Check 21, that will require banks to accept electronic check imaging and truncation. "As check processing moves away from paper, CheckTech's products are essential tools our customers need to become Check 21 compliant. Knowing that a BANC:source rep is always available for sales and service gives our customers an added sense of security," Boyd said.
