Solid Waste Management District in western Ohio handles a wide variety of recyclable materials, including cardboard, newspapers, magazines, aluminum cans, steel cans and plastic bottles. Since September of 2005, the district has been using a NEXGEN See Nx586. Galaxy2R 150N two-ram baler to handle its wide variety of materials, and District Coordinator George Brake says the machine has quickly become a valuable member of the Van Weft SWMD SWMD Special Weapon of Mass Destruction SWMD Standardized Weighted Mean Difference team. "Our NEXGEN baler is doing the work of the three machines we used to have," says George, noting that the NEXGEN Galaxy2R is baling eight tons per day of any of ten different materials. George says their NEXGEN experience has been a positive one from the start.
