Wausau Financial Systems has introduced a new one-stop program for processing checks, which the company says will reduce processing errors and operational costs.

[Optima.sup.3] Solution Portal permits operators to navigate the processing system much more quickly by eliminating the need to hunt for jobs that need to be completed -- the software refreshes itself automatically.

The program offers scalable check imaging, archiving, image capture, reject re-entry, and improved sort pattern generator, bulk filing and analytical tools. It's also possible to control image quality while you're capturing it. Built-in grayscale imaging improves recognition rates.

Wausau says the system's analytical tools include a browser-based system for tracking operational statistics and a customizable report writer.
