Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP CHKP Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (stock abbreviation, AMEX) ), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced preliminary results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2001. The company anticipates it will meet the current EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format.  expectations of $0.28 - $0.29. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $117 - $118 million. The company experienced an interruption in business following the tragic events of September 11th in the U.S., which resulted in an estimated revenue reduction of $15 - $20 million for the quarter.
