WebSuite consists of three products. It is designed to work with Unitime's time and attendance and labor management system by extending its use over the Web.

WebEntry is a browser-based time and data collection system that turns a PC into a sophisticated data collection terminal run over the Web or a company Intranet. Employees can enter time in a variety of ways including total time worked for each day, or start and stop times each day or each project. WebEntry also can automatically record start and stop times. The product has 10 organizational levels for time entry.

WebAdmin, also browser-based, allows supervisors to access work information about their employees from the supervisor's workstation -- detailed information including where their employees worked, what they worked on and what they are scheduled to work on next. It also allows them to correct errors they may encounter and to update employee information.

"WebAdmin is particularly valuable for businesses with a few workers scattered Scattered

The third component of WebSuite is Unitime ESS (1) (Electronic Switching System) A large-scale computer from Lucent used to route telephone calls in a telephone company office. "WebSuite catapults us to the head of the technology class," said Korstad. "We are finding an untapped demand for this product from businesses seeking web-based timekeeping systems that vendors are not meeting," he noted.

Starting with customer input, Unitime created WebSuite based on specific customer needs including ease of use, efficiency and affordability. "Because we're a relatively small programming shop, we're able to react very quickly to customer needs," Korstad said. "What started as a basic product evolved into a highly sophisticated Web solution with powerful options for businesses to track employee time and attendance."

Bill Korstad will be a featured speaker at the APA Congress presenting "Trends in Time Data Collection" on Monday, March 26th, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
