Chavalier hits streets.

South Wales rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain took Leicester Square by storm in their very own Chavalier. The band from Newport pulled up in the modified Vauxhall Cavalier outside Capital Radio, where they were promoting their new single Your Mother's Got a P*$pounds s.

The group pioneered the current Chav phenomenon epitomised by loud, brash accessories, also referred to as council estate chic.

As well as being used in songs and everyday language, the word has been included in Larpers and Shroomers, by Countdown's Susie Dent - a book tracking language trends over the past 100 years.
