ChatCom adds new senior management team members.


CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1996--ChatCom Inc. (NASDAQ:CHAT), formerly Astro Sciences Corp., announced today that it has made three new additions to its senior management team.

Michael Krieger, Dennis Klein and John Lillywhite have accepted the new positions with the company and will report to the president and chief executive officer, James B. Mariner, who assumed the leadership of the company in March.

Michael Krieger joins ChatCom as senior vice president of Business Development. Krieger is the former president and chief executive officer of CommVision Inc., and has over 25 years of experience in the computer industry with companies including AST Computer and Ziff-Davis Publishing.

Dennis Klein has accepted the position of vice president of Product Management. Klein has obtained extensive experience in product management and marketing though 30 years in the computer and networking industry with such companies as Retix Corp., Symbol Technologies, Local Data/Andrew Corp., and IBM.

John Lillywhite joins the company as director of marketing. Lillywhite has served in the marketing management function of Cubix Corp. and CommVision Inc., which are the company's major competitors.

Noting that the company has made tremendous progress toward assembling the executive and management team that "we believe can take the company to sustained profitability and growth," James B. Mariner, president and chief executive officer of ChatCom Inc., stated, "We are very excited about our recent additions to the management team, which bring to the company a vast amount of experience and knowledge specific to our industry and markets. The new management team, along with the recent additions to working capital, will provide the company with the capabilities for market penetration which it has always lacked."
