Chase Research announces new ISDN Internet routers.


NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1996--Chase Research has introduced the IOLINK-RN and IOLINK-PC range of ISDN routers to its family of Internet products. IOLINK-RN is a low cost router with MLPPP See MPPP.  for industry compatibility and IOLINK-PC is the ISA (1) (Instruction Set Architecture) See instruction set.

(2) (Interactive Services Association) See Internet Alliance.

(3) (Internet Security and Acceleration) See .NET.
 version that includes bridging and IPX support.

Both products are aimed at value-driven markets of the Internet and branch and remote computing. IOLINK-RN and IOLINK-PC are the latest offerings in Chase's family of remote access products and provides LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  and Internet access over ISDN BRI (Basic Rate Interface) lines at transmission speeds of 128kbs plus optional compression.

"IOLINK is perfect for use as a dial-up routing option to provide branch offices with high-speed, on-demand access to the Internet or corporate headquarters intranet," said Dave White, Chase Research's distribution manager. "With these additions, our distributors and resellers have a full product range of Internet and Intranet products." Chase products are distributed by 70 worldwide distributors including Tech Data in the U.S.

The IOLINK-RN offers support for standards-based bridging, IP routing, extensive security features and offers full interoperability with existing ISDN ISDN

Telnet, tftp, out-of-band management through the console port, and remote software upgrade are standard features. The standalone IOLINK-RN is priced at $1250.

IOLINK-PC has an ISA interface that supports up to 16 workstations giving it a price/performance edge for providing remote access to small LANs.
