Charys' Cotton Companies Become Premier Restoration Contractor for Texas Gulf Coast and Western County Associations.

ATLANTA -- Charys Holding Company, Inc. ("Charys") (OTC Bulletin Board: CHYS) a leading provider of restoration and reconstruction services to commercial and residential customers, and wireless communications and data infrastructure development to communications service providers today announced that its restoration and reconstruction division, Cotton Companies ("Cotton"), has been named the Restoration Contractor for the Regional Pool Alliance ("RPA") and West Texas Rural Counties Association ("WTRCA").

The RPA is comprised of 12 school districts, 1 college, 12 volunteer fire departments and 2 coastal ports and the WTRCA includes 15 rural west Texas counties. Together, these organizations represent over 5 million square feet of coverage in more than 550 buildings. This new relationship with Cotton will provide a channel for the organizations to coordinate with FEMA and the Texas Education Agency in preparedness planning and in disaster management. Cotton personnel will work with each facility to provide a property disaster recovery program that will be put into place immediately upon a catastrophic event. As a key member of the solution team, the primary risk management company, HRR Risk Management, coordinates with Cotton early in the planning stage as well as throughout an incident, interfacing client organizations and insurance providers and offloading a significant time and resource burden.

The agreements also cover non-hurricane related loss events with work beginning immediately. On Friday, June 8tha fire struck a nursing home located in the WRTCA; Cotton immediately deployed its response team and within 24 hours Cotton was onsite beginning work.
