The one-day events, entitled "Unlocking Innovation," will be held in Hsinchu, Taiwan and Shanghai, China, and feature in-depth discussions of unique and leading-edge technology and manufacturing solutions that help customers get to market more quickly.

In addition to senior executives and top technologists from Chartered, the events will feature presentations from technical experts representing Chartered's network of partners and ecosystem suppliers, including IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. * Innovative materials breakthroughs such as high-k metal-gate (HKMG HKMG Hawar Kurdistan Media Group ) and SOI (Silicon On Insulator) A chip architecture that increases transistor switching speed by reducing capacitance (build-up of electrical charges in the transistor's elements), and thus reducing the discharge time. The power requirement is also reduced in some designs. ;

* Process and design readiness for 45/40nm LP technology;

* An enhanced 65nm low-power process technology from Chartered, known as 65nm LPe;

* Advanced RF solutions available from Chartered;

* The range of value-added product solutions Chartered offers for specific application requirements.
