It may be a large chip maker that sells its excess manufacturing capacity or one that makes chips exclusively for other companies.  to establish a physical presence in the Nordic region. Chartered will use its local presence to better serve current and future customers and technology partners in the Nordic countries through closer working relationships and local resources that can be rapidly mobilized to support customers' requirement for advanced manufacturing solutions and services.

Chartered has named semiconductor industry veteran Stefan Ahlquist as director, Northern Europe to head the UK, Benelux and Nordic area. Ahlquist has more than 17 years of experience in the European semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Chartered, Ahlquist worked as European sales director within Motorola's Semiconductor Product Sector based in Toulouse, France.
