) today announced that common shareholders can now access their tax information for the 2005 tax year through the Company's website at http://www.chartermac.com.

Through the secure website, in the "Tax Information" section, common shareholders have the ability to access and print their K-1 form and the form instructions and automatically transfer their information to the appropriate IRS An abbreviation for the Internal Revenue Service, a federal agency charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing internal revenue laws.  tax forms.

CharterMac will mail hard copies of the K-1 forms to common shareholders on or about February 17, 2006.
