Charter Partners to explore health-care solutions. (Companies).

Charter Partners, a managing general underwriter for property/casualty coverage, will look into developing partnerships with health insurers and health-care providers after members voted during an annual meeting Oct. 24 that they are willing to put money toward finding solutions to rising health-care costs.

Of the 46 small-business owners who voted at the meeting, 80% said they were willing to spend money to look for solutions to the issue of costs. Although the company's focus has been on property and casualty insurance, health care was the No. 1 issue members said they wanted to address.
