ChartWorks Introduces WebSight for Monitoring and Analyzing Web Server Activity.

Provides First Real-time and Historical Analysis Tool

for ISPs and Web Masters

ChartWorks(R) Inc., the leader in online enterprise charting, today announced the availability of WebSight(tm) 1.0, a chart-centric(tm) application for real-time monitoring and historical analysis of Web server activity. WebSight enables ISPs and Web masters to quickly identify problems, track usage and spot utilization trends in a fraction of the time it takes to read and analyze lengthy tabular listings and reports.

WebSight 1.0 provides real-time and historical online chart displays of the number of hits on the Web server, the number of bytes transmitted, the most commonly viewed pages and the domain names visitors link to from the Web site. WebSight automatically extracts and graphs data from the Web server access log files. Users can dynamically select and graph the data elements they wish to monitor. They can also drill down into the graphs to view trends for different time periods including days, weeks, months and years, and compare that data with other time periods to spot trends in site activity.

WebSight 1.0 was developed using the ChartWorks System(tm) to produce dynamic online charts. The ChartWorks System consists of ChartExpress(tm) for rapid chart design and the NetCharts(tm) graphic-rendering engine. The ChartWorks System is unique in its team-based approach to building, maintaining and sharing dynamically generated online charts for the enterprise. This team-oriented approach is enabled by the ChartWorks System's intuitive Chart Definition Language (CDL 1. CDL - Computer Definition anguage. A hardware description language. WebSight is 100% Java code and supports any Java-enabled client platform supporting JDK (Java Development Kit) A Java software development environment from Sun. It includes the JVM, compiler, debugger and other tools for developing Java applets and applications. Each new version of the JDK adds features and enhancements to the language.  1.1x. ChartWorks WebSight 1.0 is offered at an introductory price of $295 per server with unlimited user access. WebSight 1.0 currently supports UNIX UNIX
