ChartOne is leveraging Summit Healthcare's HL7 Adapter A device that allows one system to connect to and work with another. An adapter is often a simple circuit that converts one set of signals to another; however, the term often refers to devices which are more accurately called "controllers.  Suite to provide integration between ChartOne's eWebHealth Suite, a hosted electronic document management system, and MEDITECH's hospital information systems.

For MEDITECH customer Jeff Partee, chief information officer at Ohio's Wilson Memorial Hospital, the partnership is an exciting development for his organization: "Summit Healthcare helped us very successfully convert our former hospital information system to MEDITECH in 2000, and we believe the company's involvement with ChartOne will result in a high-quality, cost-effective interface that should allow hospitals using MEDITECH systems to quickly implement ChartOne's paperless electronic chart management solutions."

With the eWebHealth Suite, electronic documents such as history and physical, laboratory, radiology radiology, branch of medicine specializing in the use of X rays, gamma rays, radioactive isotopes, and other forms of radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. , operative and emergency department reports as well as transcribed documents all feed directly into ChartOne's secure medical record repository. There, they combine with scanned paper documents to form a complete legal medical record for all patients.
