Chart Industries awarded $10 million contract.EASTLAKE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 1996--Chart Industries, Inc., (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :CTI) today announced that its Process Systems International, Inc., (PSI) subsidiary has been awarded a contract worth approximately $10 million from ABB Randall of Houston, Texas, for the design and fabrication of a single-train nitrogen rejection unit A Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU) removes impurities from a gas by liquifying and regasifying the stream. A Nitrogen Rejection Unit is any system that removes nitrogen from natural gas. For much larger applications, cyrogenic processing is the norm. (NRU) for AMOCO's Hugoton, Kansas, gas plant. The unit will be designed at PSI's facilities in Westborough, Massachusetts, and fabricated at Chart Coastal Fabrication in New Iberia, Louisiana The city of New Iberia (French: La Nouvelle-Ibérie) is the parish seat of Iberia Parish, in the US state of Louisiana, 125 miles (201 km) west of New Orleans. Upon completion in late 1997, this unit will be the largest single-train NRU in the world, with capacity in excess of 400 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD MMSCFD Millions of Standard Cubic Feet per Day (measure of gas produced in a reservoir) ).
